Availability has been updated for my summer break 2024. I will be in Auckland. I may be on placement some weeks but no doubt I will make time early in the morning and after work to ensure your pet/s and house is well-looked after.

My name is Cherree (pronounced “cherry” - like the fruit) and I am currently finishing up my 3rd year in veterinary science at Massey University. I am working at the Massey Teaching Hospital as a treatment crew member, administering medication and providing general care for animals in the ICU.

If you would like someone reliable to look after your pet/s with the level of care you have for them, feel free to flick me a message! I would love to keep your pet company. I am happy to walk your dog/s and house-sit at your home. I would prefer house sitting over home-visits if you are going away for a longer period of time. I think constant exposure and company is usually a lot more valued by animals and less stressful for the them in comparison to a random visit by a stranger - especially if they are already anxious you are not there! I will document the days and give you daily updates on how they are doing so your time away from them is free from stress and worries as well.

A little about my past working with animals - In 2016, I worked as a Vet Nurse/Technician at two different clinics in Seoul and Busan, South Korea. At the clinics, we often volunteered at dog shelters to check for heartworm disease, perform dentals, and groom them for their forever homes. I also worked in the ICU of the animal clinics and also did overnight/emergency care shifts, looking after cats and dogs in intensive care. Giving medication orally and via injections was a daily duty of mine so if that is what your pet requires (and of course, you are comfortable with it), I’d be more than happy to help. I am comfortable with looking after cats and dogs of all ages, from newborns to seniors.
