In home pet sitting services are a great way to break up the day and enrich it for your pet. Pawshake pet sitters have extensive experience caring for a range of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and more. If you have multiple pets, home visits are a great option to ensure that they all get a visit and lots of attention during the day.

Drop in visits are the least stressful option for your pet because your pet can stay in their favourite environment – their own home in Orewa. Their surroundings will be familiar and our loving and passionate Pawshake sitter will spoil them each day. Our sitters will treat your home with respect and are flexible with timing, requests and durations. All this can be discussed before you make a home visit booking.

Pet boarding is a great option for when you are away for a few days and your pet needs overnight care. Unlike pet hotels, Pawshake pet boarding allows you to arrange a personalised daily routine for your pet, whether this be extra belly rubs, playtime or 24 hour supervision. Your pet will stay with the pet sitter in a cosy home environment, rather than a large, impersonal pet hotel.

So whether you need just one day, a week or even a month, you’ll be able to find an experienced pet or dog carer to accommodate you and your pet’s needs in Orewa. The best part is that your Pawshake pet sitter is from your local neighbourhood, so they will be familiar with the area.

Our pet carers also have a range of experiences which include puppies, seniors, nervous pets and dog training. So if your pet has special requirements, you’ll be sure to find a pet sitter that is a good match for you.

Your pet’s safety and welfare is a big priority for us, which is why all of our Pawshake pet sitters undergo a strict vetting process by our trust and safety team. At Pawshake, we understand that you might feel a little uneasy allowing a pet sitter to enter your home or arranging pet boarding at their place. This is why Pawshake pet sitters also have reviews from other pet parents that are publicly available on their profile for you to read.

Each pet sitting home visit and pet boarding booking made through Pawshake is covered by the Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer support 7 days a week and more. Rest easy knowing that your pets will be well looked after by one of our expert pet carers in Orewa.

Hi there, I'm Hannah! ️ I'm a confident and experienced pet sitter and dog walker with a LOT of love to give.
I love having furry friends to care for, big and small, from gentle cats to boisterous labs. I have always been drawn to animals, especially cats and dogs. I love giving them attention, affection, hearing them purrr or seeing their tail wag like crazy (dogs of course! If it's a cat then there's a problem!).
I understand that every home and family is different and will cater to your needs accordingly - prices set out are base prices for a 30min home visit or 30min walk with your pet. I'm more than happy to attend to your home and animal/s for longer and adjusted rates can be discussed and agreed on.
Your fur baby's health and happiness is of the utmost importance and I will follow your instructions around their care carefully and to the letter.
Ensuring your K9 is adequately exercised is something I would look forward to, no matter how long or often it's needed - I love to see dogs happy, in their element racing along the beach or doing zoomies at a park. I also enjoy regular exercise and embrace opportunities to be active.
I spend my time between Auckland and Nelson and have dates available for both.
I look forward to hearing from you and meeting your gorgeous pet/s. ️

My motivation to become a pet sitter comes from a love for animals, especially dogs. I have two dogs of my own, a Jack Russell and a Maltese-Jack Russell mix, both of who have taught me so much about the importance of providing attentive and loving care. Through my experience caring for them and other families pets, I’ve developed a deep understanding of their needs and personalities and know how to properly care for them and to make sure they get all the walks and activity that they need.
My partner has also cared for many dogs, and I've been fortunate to share in this passion. Together, we have gained valuable experience looking after dogs of all sizes and breeds for others while they are away, and all our experiences have been incredibly positive. I truly enjoy the opportunity to bond with new dogs and ensure they feel comfortable and happy in a familiar and loving environment. I often like taking younger energetic dogs down to the beach or a park and making sure they get plenty of time to run around and play and for older dogs I love taking them on a slow relaxed walk at their pace.
I take great pride in providing a safe and enriching experience for each dog I care for, and I strive to make sure all pets feel at home while their families are away.

Hello! I'm Heather, and I'm a passionate 30-year-old animal lover based in Orewa. If you're looking for someone who will treat your pet like royalty and give you complete peace of mind, you've come to the right place!
Animals have always been a part of my life. Growing up, my home was a lively menagerie, with cats, birds, rabbits, and fish. This lifetime of experience means I understand the unique needs and personalities of many different types of pets.
I'm currently the proud owner of a 4-year-old cat who started life as a shy feral and is now the most spoiled, pampered house cat you'll ever meet—a true testament to my patience and love! I'm also a 'live-in' dog aunty to my flatmate's energetic 1-year-old Shih Tzu, so I'm well-versed in the delightful chaos and routines that come with a young, loving pup.
My pet-sitting experience goes beyond just casual care. I've frequently looked after the beloved companions of friends and family, and I'm well-versed in caring for pets with higher needs. This includes administering medication and maintaining strict schedules to ensure your furry, feathered, or scaled friend remains happy and healthy while you're away.
My Availability
I work a 9-to-5 job in the tertiary education sector during the week. Therefore, my typical availability is:
Weekdays: After 6:00 PM
Weekends: All day
I do have some flexibility for day visits depending on my schedule, so please reach out if you have specific daytime needs—I’m happy to try and accommodate!

Hiya!
I’m a proud dog mum to Frankie, my 1 year old French Bulldog, and I work in marketing for the pet industry, so I’m lucky enough to be surrounded by all things pets.
When I’m not working, I dedicate a lot of my time to volunteering with dog rescues and helping pups in need!
I have a fully fenced yard and a spacious, undercover deck for those wet winter days, so your pup will have plenty of room to run and relax. Frankie's paddling pool & swing ball are also in the yard for pups to play with!
I’m available for daycare and home visits on Wednesdays and Fridays, but feel free to reach out if you’re looking for a weekend stay for your pup! I’m happy to accommodate whenever I can.
I look forward to meeting your dog and providing them with a fun, safe, and loving environment during their stay!
