Little Pawz, Weekend Dog Stays. Needing a weekend away, and somewhere safe and reliable to care for your doggy? We offer individualised care for a maximum of only two small dogs at a time (plus our schnoodle). Dogs have been central to our family life for over 30 years... after a day of leisurely walks around our rural property, they snuggle up beside us on couches in the evening by the fire. Life here is relaxed and settled - the perfect spot to leave your wee companion while you are away.

Daily routines include a morning walk around the property together, with plenty of new textures and plants to smell. The property is gently rolling, so there is all types of terrain to explore. When needed, there is a smaller fenced area, but generally the dogs are with us all day as we work in the garden, read in the sun, or create art in the workshop. In the evenings there are snuggles on the couch while we watch sport or comedy on tv. Dogs sleep inside, with plenty of access to comfy spaces and fresh water.

We focus on caring for small, adult dogs, who have good recall off-lead, and safe with chickens and larger livestock. Before confirming a booking we will ask you to meet us and have a trial half-day ($30) to ensure your doggy is a good match with our environment and feels at home when you leave.

All family members are formally experienced and trained in techniques for positively and safely managing animals. We are also trained in first aid, and have access to vets 10km in either direction from our home.

Recent innoculations (+worm/flea) are essential, along with vet card and confirmation of neuter/spey.
