I'm Maya, and I would love to take your pet out on a walk, run, or look after them while you're away! Just let me know what you'd like and I'm happy to help :)

I've had experience walking and running dogs previously in high school, and now that I'm finishing my last semester of university remotely in New Plymouth, I thought I would do it again in between study hours.

Below are some precautions I take to make sure your dog has a safe and fun experience while they're out and about!

I Run/walk to your dog's pace: I'll gauge whetehr your pet is feeling tired or energetic, and when they're getting tired or just really want to sniff something (!) we'll take walking breaks so your pet gets the most enjoyment out of their exercise.

We'll stay away from dangerous roads or areas with hazards: I do my best to keep to parks, walkways, or safe neighbourhoods.

Carry small treats if needed for positive reinforcement: we can discuss this depending on what your dog needs, but I'm also happy to train your dog while we run! For example, giving a small treat and/or praise when they wait for my command to cross an intersection.
