Kia Ora! My name is Anneke, and I’m a fully qualified primary school teacher with a lifelong passion for animal care. Growing up on a lifestyle block in Nelson surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, and alpacas taught me early on how to responsibly love and look after animals of all shapes and sizes. Now living in the area, I miss daily animal contact immensely, which is why I love helping out local pet owners! Why You Can Trust Me with Your Pet: Attentive & Dedicated Care: As a dog owner myself (my pup lives back home in Nelson), I know how crucial it is to have complete peace of mind when you're away. I treat every animal in my care like my own—ensuring their routine, safety, and comfort come first. Active & Fun-Loving: I love staying active and exploring outdoors. My favorite walking routes are the Coastal Walkway and Te Henui Walkway. Whether your dog loves long adventures, endless games of fetch and tug, or learning new tricks, I’m always up for keeping them engaged and happy. Calm Home Presence: Aside from outdoor walks, I’m a true homebody at heart. You can count on me spending plenty of cozy evenings at home keeping your pet company with cuddles and a good book. Experienced & Reliable: I am comfortable working with all breeds and energy levels. Extra Services Included: If you need house sitting or extended stays, I am happy to keep your home tidy, water plants, bring in the mail, and tailor my visit length to fit your exact schedule. I’d love to meet you and your pet—feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a meet-and-greet!
