Hi there, I'm Meredith from Lower Hutt! I have 3 dogs of my own, and have been around dogs for as long as I can remember. I recently completed a New Zealand Certificate in Animal Management in Canine Behaviour and Training. And I am now studying a Bachelor of Animal Science via distance with Massey University. I also instruct dog training classes at my local dog club in Avalon.
Im available to walk your dogs, do drop in visits and by arrangement and approval can do pet or house sitting. I can have dogs for daycare during the day at my home! My property is fully fenced and I will give full attention to your pets! I am confident giving medication and training your pets, and can provide basic grooming if needed. I am able to pet sit in your home and may be open to having pets overnight at my home but I am cautious as I have 3 pets of my own but this can be discussed. 
I'm free on weekdays and most weekends, and this role is perfect to fit in with my university studies. I am confident with all breeds and sizes of dogs and have experience working with and walking reactive and aggressive dogs. My 3 dogs are Chewy 5 (GWP), Lulu 4 (Golden Retriever) and Disney 16 months old (Dalmatian). They are the most lovable dogs who get along with everyone they meet! I'm available to look after or walk your pets individually, or they are more than welcome to tag along with my dogs when we head out!

I’ve had the privilege of caring for pets throughout my life, including a Golden Retriever and a British Shorthair cat. Most recently, I had my own beloved dog, who sadly passed away in January. Losing her was heartbreaking, but it also deepened my understanding of how precious and important our pets are in our lives.

Over the years, I’ve gained experience through looking after friends’ and neighbours’ pets, including caring for a young Golden Retriever for over a month. I’m patient, responsible, and always attentive to each pet’s individual needs.

I currently offer home visits for feeding (including cats), playtime, and dog walking. While I don’t provide boarding, I’m more than happy to visit your home to ensure your pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their familiar environment.

At the moment, I don’t have pets at home, which allows me to fully focus on giving your pets my time, care, and attention.

I was mum to Zoe, a beauitiful hunterway bearded collie for 14 years. She was my 3rd baby.  I love dogs/animals. I treat them as if they are my own.   I ofen speak to dogs when out before I meet their owners. Dogs just love me, because I love them.  I've done many dog sits both in nZ and overseas.I have been asked back in many dog sits, because I do such a great job and the dog is well cared for in my charge.   I prefer to dog sit in the dog's house, because I think they're more at home there.  I treat the house as if its my own, keeping it tidy.  Im very professional, curteous and respectful.  I get on easily with most people and dogs. I have boundaries and just like kids need boundaries, so do dogs. As someone once said to me 'You're firm but fair' which I believe I am.I grew up with dachsunds and we still have them in my family.  I have also worked at HUHA for a while and realised then that just like humans dogs just want love, kindness, attention, food and walks.  It changed my perspective on dogs greatly. There are no bad dogs, just poor owners.Dogs are a big responsibility. They are like another family member and we need to realise that.During the day, I have dog walking commitments as well as other work, I also work from home, so I am not able to be home with your fur babies all the time. We really appreciated the photos, videos and regular communication from her during our time away. Our dog got plenty of exercise and love, and was happy and and well on our return. I have grown up with dogs my whole live, both big and small. I have always been the trainer, dog walker and caregiver for our animals.
I moved into my own place a few years ago, I have really missed having a furry friend around. Luckily my flat mate has a beautiful and sassy cay named Lila.
