I am a vetted volunteer for the Hearing Dogs charity, fostering their dogs in training over some weekends which involves having them in our house for socialising and taking them for walks. For over 3 years I have been a member of Kiwi House sitters, taking on regular sits looking after dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and livestock. I also looked after 2 cats and a dog for a month in Vanuatu last year which was a real highlight and great responsibility. Several of the New Zealand house sits I have done went so well that I was asked back to sit numerous times. We also have 2 SPCA rescue cats, Diesel and Lola who are thoroughly spoiled. I am a self emplyed graphic designer working from home so have the flexibility to look after your pets while you are at work or busy... take them for walks, check in on them or stay overnight as needed. Dog Walks - would typically be around 30 minutes in Bell Block heading to, and along the scenic coastal walkway or Mangati walkway beside the river or beach. In home visits - typically up to an hour to check on them and make sure they are fed and happy and sorted for the day/night. Overnight stays - I can work remotely so would be there for almost the whole time to look after your pet. The longest I'd be likely to leave for would be 2 hours.
