My love for animals has been at the forefront of my life since childhood. Every birthday wish I can remember was for one simple thing- a puppy (even though we had two dogs, beautiful Springer Spaniel/Brittany mixes already) - until at age 13 one of our family dogs gave birth to a litter of puppies in my bedroom, with only my brother and I home to support. Suddenly my dreams had come true and I spent two blissful months taking care of the tiny creatures and spent over 15 years with dogs (and other pets - birds, fish, turtles, bunnies, even hermit crabs at one point!) at home in my home state of Nebraska, USA. It wasn't until I moved away from my family home that I discovered my love for cats when my university flatmate kept Donnie, the sweetest snuggliest creature on earth (who found his safe haven under my bed) and my love for felines has grown ever since. I am a Leo, after all - it's in my nature! 

I moved to New Zealand in 2018 with my partner who is from Sweden. We live in a small home nestled in the Waitakares with our one-year-old son. We lead an active lifestyle, often taking long hikes in the bush and weekends away to spend time in nature. After assisting a friend with her dog walking business, I discovered Pawshake, and thought it would be an incredible way to meet some new four-legged (and two-legged!) friends in the community.

I would love to care for your pets while you're away, whether we go for walk or play at home, I can cater to you and your pets' needs. I look forward to hearing from you with any questions you may have! 

SERVICES

• I offer in-home pet visits, feedings, company and play; whatever you require for your pet's health and happiness is included in an in-home visit. I am also available to walk dogs on a route that is suitable for them. I can stay with them and am flexible on the length of stay; this can be discussed prior to the first visit.
• I am available to administer medicine if necessary and feed the food and amount that is suitable for their diet.
• At this time I am not able to take on any pets for boarding but will update my profile if this changes.
• Dog walks are 30 minutes to an hour, depending on your pets size and fitness levels. This can happen 1-3 times x day.
