I offer wide open spaces, water, paddocks, exercise, and care and enrichment for your dogs while staying on my farm. Set in rural Hawkes Bay and yet within 15 minutes of Havelock North, Hastings and 30 minutes from Napier we are convenient for all. Your dog will be well looked after and exercised on the farm. I have a fully contained garden with amenity tress, lawns and shade for day time. My own dogs will be here too. If your dog is staying overnight i offer crates in my conservatory for sleeping. Clean bedding, fresh water will both be provided but if your dog is staying overnight it is better for your dog if you provide their usual food. Dogs can stay indoors if that is where they normally live, or can be in an outside kennel if they prefer to be outdoor dogs. I can cater for all needs. My fenced garden is approximately half an acre but the area that I exercise the dogs in is 25 acres. Walks happen twice each day. Of leash exercise is available to dogs that recall well, but on long leash exercise is available to those which are not so good at coming back!
I am a retired professional scientist and I also have a breeding kennel of labradors which I brought into NZ from the UK. I am very experienced with dogs of all ages and I can tailor make the activities for your dog depending upon their needs and their ages. Older dogs may enjoy the companionship but may not need the same level of extercise that a younger dog would need.There are no children or other adults in the household. I am on farm all day every day with very few exceptions. Dogs will receive up to two hours exercise on the farmland each day. There will be no more than three dogs on the farm from clients at any one time. Your dog will get the same degree of care and attention as my own beloved labradors.
Only vaccinated dogs allowed and up to date vaccination record will be requested at the time a booking is made. I run a 50 acre farm with 2 dogs of my own, cats, chicken (in a coop) and alpacas are on the farm.
No intact males, only neutered males would be considered.
