Hi there, my name is Kayla, I'm 32 and ask anyone, they'd say animal mad haha. I come from a farming family so I have always had animals in my life. Big and small. I currently own a dog myself, so am well adept at handling anything that life throws at me. I have a vet nursing qualification that I received from Otago Polytechnic as well as animal behaviour and zoological degrees from Otago University. Have the book smarts to back up my already full knowledge of animals and their care makes, in my opionion, me a great candidate for pet sitting. While I am unable to offer pet sitting in my own home due to a dog in training already in residence, I am available to pet/home sit in your home. I find this is a lot less stressful for animals because they are in their own environment with their own toys, food and smells.
I am also available for dog walking in the Glenview area if your animal is comfortable with accompaning another dog so can take my own dog for a walk at the same time :)
I also have a vehicle available if transport is needed. My car comes equipped with restrainents for dogs via clips attached to seatbelts in the backseat. Dogs will never be able to roam unrestrained in my vehicle. Payment towards fuel is required for a long trip. Around town is fine.
I have recommendations and references from previous pet sitting jobs that can be provided if required.
While in home, pet will be played with, groomed if required, fed, watered, any medication administered. Anything else by negotiation
Predominantly work with dogs however I am open to most animals. I have had experience with dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, fish, reptiles, larger animals such as horses (ranging from clydesdale through to mini pony), sheep, cows, goats, alpacas, poultry (chickens, geese and ducks mainly) and many others. If you have an animal not listed please get in contact. I am willing to learn about care for other animals not listed.
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
