Hi! I’m 26 years old from Ireland who has recently moved to Christchurch. I grew up surrounded by animals and they’ve always been a huge part of my life, so caring for pets comes very naturally to me.

I grew up with my dog Scooby, who had a meat allergy, a heart murmur requiring daily medication, and anxiety-related seizures. Caring for him taught me patience, attentiveness, and how important it is to follow feeding and medication routines closely. Because of this, I’m comfortable administering medication and caring for pets with specific needs.

I’ve also regularly looked after my aunt’s energetic dog, Kaylee, who loved long walks and making new dog friends. Later, we welcomed Bear, our poodle, who I trained to do several tricks. Because he can sometimes be anxious around other dogs, I’m very mindful, calm, and attentive when walking and supervising pets.

Animals have always been part of my life, from horse-riding camps growing up to helping my grandad care for cattle. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and will treat your pet with the same kindness and care that I would my own.

I am generally available mornings, afternoons, and evenings during the week, and I can also be available on weekends with advance notice. I’m flexible and always try to work around your pet’s routine.

I offer dog walking and home visits. I’m also comfortable administering oral medication if required and reinforcing basic training commands.

Dog walks usually last 30–90 minutes depending on the dog’s energy level and your preference. I enjoy walking in local parks and pet-friendly areas around Christchurch where dogs can safely exercise and explore. During walks I always ensure dogs are supervised and kept safe around traffic or other animals.

For home visits I aim to keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible so they feel comfortable in their own home. During visits I typically stay 30–90 minutes to make sure pets receive proper care and attention. I can feed pets according to their schedule, refresh water bowls, spend time playing with them or keeping them company, clean food areas if needed, and give medication if required.

While you’re away I’m happy to send updates or photos so you know how your pet is doing. I can also water plants, bring in mail, and keep the home clean and tidy.

My priority is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while giving you peace of mind that they are in reliable hands.
