I’m a 21-year-old animal care student with a genuine passion for animals and their wellbeing. I’m currently studying animal care and also volunteer at the SPCA, which has given me valuable hands-on experience caring for animals with different personalities, needs and behaviours. I love spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, happy and cared for while their owners are away.

Growing up, I had a Cavoodle and two cats, so I have always been surrounded by pets and feel very comfortable caring for animals. I’m particularly confident around medium-sized dogs and am also happy to care for larger dogs, provided they are friendly, social and outgoing. I understand that every pet is different, so I’m happy to follow their usual routines, including feeding, exercise, playtime, attention and any other instructions provided by their owner. I tend to walk dogs for around 30-1hour walking time as this gives them plenty of time to do their doggy things and experience the outdoors. I love taking them to any dog park that are near by or available to go to, taking them with a ball they can go and catch as this keeps them attentive. I love spending time with both dogs and cats e.g having some cuddle time so they can feel relaxed and comfortable.

My animal care studies and SPCA volunteering have helped me develop patience, confidence and a good understanding of responsible animal handling and welfare. When I'm working with the cats most of them have just been brought in and sick or recovering, so we take our time to be gentle, play with them, and make them feel comfortable. I am very experienced with cleaning and washing equipment. With the dogs I will play with them outside, also take them for walks, give them plenty of cuddles to make them feel comfortable and safe. I will always treat your pets with kindness, respect and plenty of love, while making sure they feel secure and well looked after. My goal is to give owners peace of mind knowing their pets are in caring and capable hands.
