Hello, I am Katherine, a 27-year-old Canadian who moved to New Zealand three years ago and live in beautiful Arrowtown. I am currently working Mon-Fri in Frankton, and am looking to have a furry friend to go on walks with after work.

I previously worked as a veterinary assistant back home in Canada, caring for dogs and cats. I learned a lot about how to handle various breeds, personalities, and also gained a lot of medical knowledge, so I am able to quickly understand if there is a potentially health concern for an animal. I also have a bachelor's degree in applied animal biology, studying animal welfare and behaviors.

I have always been surrounded by animals since I was a baby; As a family, we had a yellow Labrador named Tom and a toy poodle Bichon named Ginger. Sadly, both have passed away, so I would love to have a pooch to play and care for. I have also fostered a great dane mix rescue dog who had some behavioral challenges, but we worked on them together and were able to find a forever home for him.

I am able to administer basic medication, continue any training, and help with general grooming.

While spending time with your pet, I can stay in contact to update you on any happy pet photos, any health or behavioral concerns, and if need be, I can bring them to the vet for any immediate issues.

Monday to Friday, I am available for walks after 5pm. Walks can be between 30-90 minutes. I have some routes I like to walk around the Arrowtown river, or a local walk to the house can be arranged, especially if your dog has a preferred walk. Walking speed, distance, and on/off-lead options can be discussed.
