About us

I grew up with border collies and have loved dogs my whole life, there's nothing better than a tail wag at the door. My partner Hanna and I live in a small cottage in Luggate with 1600m² of grassy, tree-lined section for dogs to properly run around in. We also share our home with Rio, our nearly two-year-old golden retriever who is full of beans and adores other dogs! There hasn't been one yet he didn't want to be best friends with. Having Rio around means your dog gets a playmate as well as a place to stay, not just a quiet spot on their own.

What we offer

Doggy day care — full days of play in our fully fenced backyard, with two separate fenced areas we can use if dogs aren't getting along or need a bit of space from each other. Hanna works from home most days, so your dog will usually have company, though she does occasionally need to head into town, dogs comfortable being left together for short stretches will do best with us.

Overnight boarding — same daytime setup, with dogs separated at bedtime so everyone gets a proper night's sleep.

Who we're set up for

We're happiest hosting dogs who are social and enjoy other dogs' company, given Rio is a constant presence and loves to play. Dogs who need to be the only animal in the home, or who don't do well around other dogs, probably won't be the best fit for our setup, but anything in between, we'd love to meet you and your pup.
