For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Piha for a doggy day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Piha Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer doggy day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Piha sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Pet sitting allows me to combine responsibility with compassion, and I find it incredibly rewarding to build trust with both pets and their owners. Knowing that I am helping maintain a pet’s wellbeing and happiness gives me a deep sense of fulfilment. My goal is always to provide reliable, loving care and complete peace of mind, treating every pet as if they were my own family member. For the health and safety of all animals in my care, I do require pets to be fully vaccinated.

I strongly believe in maintaining consistent routines, positive interaction, and plenty of affection so pets feel comfortable, secure, and stress-free in their familiar environment. I take the time to understand each pet’s unique personality, energy level, and individual needs, whether that means active playtime, gentle companionship, or calm reassurance.

My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from understanding how important it is for pet parents to know their animals are cared for with patience, kindness, and genuine attention—not just routine feeding and walks. I am committed to providing thoughtful, attentive care that supports both physical and emotional wellbeing.

Hi there! I’m Anu, a caring and reliable dog lover based in Auckland. I have always enjoyed spending time with dogs and truly believe they bring happiness, joy, and balance to our lives. My motivation for becoming a pet sitter comes from wanting to help dog owners feel confident that their pets are safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re away.
I have experience looking after small dogs and really enjoy their playful energy and affectionate nature. Whether it’s daily walks, cuddles, or quiet companionship, I make sure every dog feels right at home. I keep a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment where your little one will be treated like family.
For everyone’s safety, I only accept fully vaccinated pets. I’m looking forward to meeting your small furry friend and giving them plenty of love, care, and attention while you’re away! You can count on me to treat your dog as if they were my very own.

I'm thrilled to be a dog sitter on Pawshake! My deepest motivation comes from a simple truth: I adore furry friends and genuinely cherish having them around. Their presence fills my days with joy, and providing them with loving care isn't just a service—it's a heartfelt passion.

As a lifelong dog lover and experienced caregiver, I offer not just supervision, but genuine companionship and tailored care for furry friends. Having a wagging tail (or several!) nearby is my happy place.

Here’s what I bring:
Years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of various breeds and temperaments.
A resident best friend at home (my friendly, well-socialized Poochon girl - Bonita), ensuring your pup enjoys safe, playful socialization and never feels lonely.
Regular boarding services focused on making dogs feel loved, secure, and right at home with routines, comfort, and plenty of affection.
Passion for Canine Nutrition & Wellness: I love preparing healthy homemade treats and fresh meals (like lean meat bites, veggie mixes, and bone broth), tailored to dietary needs. Keeping dogs healthy and happy through good food is a joy!
Active & Engaging Lifestyle: I thrive on taking dogs on adventures—hiking trails, park playdates, or stimulating neighborhood walks. Seeing them explore and play is incredibly rewarding.

Safety, trust, and creating joyful experiences are my top priorities. I prioritize clear communication with owners, including regular photo/video updates so you see their happy moments!

Ultimately, being a dog sitter allows me to do what I love most: surround myself with canine energy and ensure every dog feels cherished. I would consider it a privilege to help your furry family feel loved, safe, and happy!

Hello!
Harry, my husband, and myself live in our own home in Te Atatu South.
This year we welcomed Maeve, a cavoodle who is now 9 months old into our family and home. Having her has opened up a whole new world to us & we are obsessed with being dog parents! You'll now find us usually at the dog park, the beach, out for walks or in the back yard playing.
We have a fully fenced section with plenty of room to play. Our home is set up for doggies to play & snuggle with us freely in the living area or if they need their own space and time our garage & laundry area is set up to be dog friendly with bedding and toys.
We and Maeve loves the socialising she gets from going to doggy day care and for over night stays with our family and their dogs. We would love to have your doggy stay with us to play with our girl!
Our home is quite small so we would feel best to have small dogs stay with us. Otherwise we are still open to any dog especially as Maevey loves playing with all dogs too!
Looking forward to meeting you & looking after your baby! 🤍

I have had pets for as long as I can remember and enjoy the company of a fluffy companion. We had have cats, rabbits, a labrador and jack Russells.
We recently got a new family member, Poppet, a very friendly, loveable golden retriever puppy. She loves people and so far, seems to enjoy the company of other dogs.We have one five-year-old tortoiseshell cat at our own house so I'm well used to cats and have been on the opposite side of needing people to come in to check on our fur baby. This is why I'm keen to help others in this situation as I know how stressful it can be trying to arrange care for pets.
I have experience with house/dog sitting for friends and work colleagues before and I am happy to walk dogs on/ off the leash depending how good their recall is.
Our two year old is very used to animals and is learning how to act around them and to treat them kindly.

Hi! I’m an animal lover with over 12 years of experience caring for pets. I have two dogs and three cats of my own (some of them were rescued from street, and they are in China now), so looking after animals has been a big part of my life for many years. I also worked as a pet nurse for two years, which gave me professional experience in animal care and helped me better understand pets’ different behaviours and needs.
For house sitting bookings, my partner and I will usually stay together. We’re both animal lovers and have cared for our own dogs and cats together for over five years. Having two of us also means your pets can enjoy plenty of company, attention and cuddles while you’re away We will always confirm this with you before accepting a house sitting booking to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the arrangement.
I’m happy to care for both dogs and cats. I can provide dog walking, home visits, feeding, fresh water, litter cleaning, playtime and companionship. A dog walk can usually last around 30 minutes, and during home visits I will make sure your pet is comfortable, well cared for and gets plenty of attention.
I understand that every pet has a different personality and routine, so I’m happy to follow your usual feeding, walking and care instructions. I’m patient with shy or nervous animals and will always treat your pets with the same care and kindness that I give to my own. I can also send you photos and updates during each visit so you know how your pet is doing.
