I've always been such a big animal lover, so much that my dream job when I was kid was to be a Vet. I've lovingly owned cats for the last 13/14 years, Zeus and Hera, a brother and sister who were adopted at 6 weeks old. Sadly my boy, Zeus, passed away very suddenly about one month after I moved to Auckland, and since missing him so much I thought taking care of other people's loved pets would fill a little piece of my life that is missing.
I have many years of experience (at least 10) with pet and dog sitting and walking with small and medium sized dogs, both for friends and family, and casually while I was at University. This has included over night stays, weekends, two walks a day - just whatever suits both the owner and pet.
I am available early mornings and mid-afternoon through evenings on weekdays, and all day on the weekends.
I can take your dog on a walk in your neighbourhood, to a nearby park, or the beach depending on your preferences and location. I'm happy to travel (within reason) to a suitable location. I can walk a maximum of 60 minutes per walk, again happy to discuss based on particular needs of the dog(s).
In your home I'm happy to pick up mail, general cleaning, plant watering, am happy to give oral / cream medication to your pet, and can help with general training.
For a singular visit I can stay for 60 minutes, but am willing to discuss your individual needs! While at your home I will supervise your dog when outside, keep doors and windows shut unless actively using them!
I'd have to say at heart I am such a cat person, but would love to add a dog to my family in the near future - once I'm in my own home with no rules about pets on the lease.
