I'm Felipe, and I moved to Christchurch to pursue my studies at the University of Canterbury. As a dedicated individual, I am keen on finding a fulfilling way to help support me and my wife while also offering a service that benefits both pet owners and their beloved companions. 

Experience:

Having spent 8 years working in the Brazilian Federal Police Dog Section as a police detection dog trainer and handler, I've gained experience in understanding canine behaviour and needs, especially with German Shepherds, Labradors and Belgian Malinois. I've also been a friend of Christchurch Bull Breed Rescue volunteering there since November 2022. This background equips me with the skills to ensure that your furry family member receives a professional and lovely care he/she deserves in your absence.  

For me, pet sitting is a passion that centres on the well-being of your pet and ensuring their comfort and security. My goal is to ensure your peace of mind while you're away, knowing that your furry companions and your home are in professional hands.

House sitting:

The sitting includes at least one nice long walk to exercise and get lots of sniffing and playing. Additionally we will have fun with two 15min play sessions in the day and no limit or restrictions for cuddle time of course! 😊

I will do my best to keep your routine and times for walking, feeding and other special care if needed. I can also keep provide basic training (no pulling on lead, waiting to eat/enter/leave the house/gates, no jumping, etc) while keeping the pet's normal routine as much as I can (no jumping on the bed/couch if not allowed, and other habits and instructions you may provide me.

- During the weekends, I am available for pet sitting full time, but on normal weekdays, I'm available from afternoon (4:30pm) until in the next morning (8:30am).

- Same for Walks. Available full time on weekends, but on weekdays only after 5pm.

- The 1x home visit is at least one hour and includes a visit to feed, change water, clean what is needed, toilet time and of course a great playing/training time. 

Occasionally, my wife Sara joins me in pet-sitting if it's not a problem. She's another pet lover who's been working in the Hospitality industry since our arrival in November 2022.

Please rest assured that I'll keep your home secure, tidy and clean for when you come back, keeping eventual towels and bedding washed before we leave. I am also happy to do other home shores as instructed, such as watering your plants, collecting postal, taking the bins out, etc.

I like to think how beautiful it is to realise that we as humans couldn't be what we are today if pets, especially Dogs, didn't have a fundamental chapter in our "human history book"! We've been trailing this world and evolving together! How can we not love them if their history is deeply mixed with ours?
