Hello! My name is Mia and I am in my final year studying Law at Victoria University. My passion for animals began 10 years ago when Simba, a loving golden retriever, joined our family. Simba quickly became an integral part of my life and caring for him ignited my love for animals. Five years later Rafi joined us, another loyal, energetic golden retriever companion. I love Wellington but, being in a different city to the dogs, I miss them dearly and am eager to get my animal fix!

My motivation to be a pet sitter stems from a deep desire to ensure that all pets receive the best care possible, even when their owners are away. I understand the importance of maintaining a pet's routine and providing them with love, attention, and companionship. As a pet owner, I understand the stress of trying to find a reliable carer. We struggled to find pet-setters in the past for Simba and Rafi and it broke my heart when we had to leave them in a kennel overnight, away from the environment they knew and were most comfortable in. My goal is to offer peace of mind to pet owners, allowing them to travel or attend to their busy schedules without worrying about the well-being of their pets.

Over the years, I've gained valuable animal experience through training my dogs as puppies, and being there as Simba grew older and required extra care. I am reliable, tidy and well-versed in handling various temperaments and special requirements. My partner's family has a farm I visit multiple times, further stoking my love for animals! My time at the farm included looking after a litter of puppies and providing them with oral medication. Whether it's daily walks, feeding, administering medications, or just extra playtime/cuddles, I'm dedicated to tailoring my services to meet every pet's unique needs.

I have a full license and car so am happy to travel within the Wellington Region. I am very active and love the outdoors. I particularly enjoy walking along the beach and in the bush but, as I can travel with pets in my car, am happy to go to other locations. I am open to house sitting, dog walking, feeding, and house visits. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
