Hi, I'm Saskia
I'm studying at University of Canterbury towards a Bachelor of Science double majoring in Geography and Environmental Science, while doing that I have some spare time on my hands and love animals so thought becoming a pet sitter is the best of both words! My love of animals has lead me to work at Orana Park and now here :) I was flatting but recently moved back home to spend more time with my elderly cats who I've had nearly my whole life and don't remember a time without them. My experience includes pet sitting for rabbits, feral young kittens, elderly dogs and young pups as well as dog walking. My house visits include feeding, cleaning up food bowls, litter trays and any other messes, letting them outside or inside if that is what the owner wants. Checking in and sitting with the pets giving them some company for awhile and giving any medication needed. My house sitting includes giving the animals company, playing with them, feeding them and giving any medication required. Where the animals sleep is up to the owner, if they are used to sleeping on the bed that is fine by me I'm always open to cuddles from furry friends :) or if they sleep on their bed that's where they'll be. I have my own car so can take pets for walks further away. I love to walk with them along beaches or dog friendly walking tracks. I have a few favourite spots I have found from when I used to walk my old dog.

We were so pleased to have Saskia look after our dogs. She communicated so well. The house was clean and the dogs were very happy and cared for. We couldn't be happier!
Super impressed! Very communicative, very friendly, my cats were well loved. I didn’t feel worried at all. She also sent in updates which made me super happy.
