Having grown up in England with horses, sheep, rabbits, hamsters, dogs and cats - my life has revolved around animals. I have a lifetime of experience looking after all sorts of animals and have rarely been without a menagerie in my care.

I moved to New Zealand 10 years ago with my Kiwi partner but it never really felt like home... until I rescued my first fur babies 7 years ago. Since then, I have been an active member in the Auckland cat rescue scene and a long time member of one of the largest cat charities in Auckland. I have had over 130 foster babies come through my home, and all but my permanent crew have gone one to find their happy ever after (all are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped before leaving our care). Having grown up with my family Border Collie, I have ample experience caring for dogs as our friends will also use us as their dog sitters. We have taken care of French Bulldogs, Dachshunds, Collies and mixed breeds. My partner also comes from a family of large breed dog people (Kangal, Mastiffs and Huntaways) so I am never long without taking care of a sweet doggo too.

I have also been lucky enough to have some special paddock babies in my life and have grown up with horses and sheep. Many rescued lambs have found their sanctuary with my family over the years.

I am experienced in giving daily medications including tablets, injections (insulin) and fluid therapy for our renal fur babies and am very comfortable carrying on any medication routine your fur baby may require while you are away from them. I also love to follow instructions so the more the merrier. Keeping the same routine for your pets while you are away is crucial for minimising their anxiety. I am active and happy to accommodate as many walks per day as required and will never shy away from cleaning litter trays or enclosures as it is part of my life too. As an added bonus, I am a freelance digital marketer so I work 100% remotely. That means I never have to be away from your fur babies for any significant length of time so long as I have access to the internet. I have been lucky enough to have had some fabulous people watch my fur babies in the past and I want to pay it forward so you too can go away travelling and be comforted by the thought of your pets getting the best care, second only to you.

My amazing partner will be watching my crew while I come and care for your fur babies so don’t worry, they will be getting the best care too.
