Islay

Hi, my name is Islay (pronounced i-la). I grew up with pets, and have a big love for animals of all shapes and sizes. Growing up, we had cats, a dog, and even rabbits. I have pet-sat and looked after friends and family's animals, including once a small farm with a big friendly pig! I am experienced with multiple sizes of dog and cat, and I am not averse to other friendly pets :) I am a big dog-lover and walks around Oriental Parade always bring me joy when there are all of the different breeds of dogs out on their walks.

I am enjoying city-life in Wellington, working full-time, but I do miss my pets at my family home - a border-collie x retriver called Charlie, and a bichon frise called Tess - I love visiting home and enjoying their company & walks with them. We used to have two SPCA cats when I was younger and they were great personalities to have around, I miss them both dearly. 

I'd love to be able to enjoy the company & friendship of a pet at this stage in my life where I would like to be able to give back and ease the load for someone. I know how hard it is to find someone reliable to petsit! I am not at a stage where I can own a pet (due to moving overseas in July 24), so I would love to pamper yours in the meantime! 

I am open to short-term house sits and/or checking in on your pet while you're away - what would work best is if you're happy for my partner to keep me company. I can water your plants, tidy up, pop a load of washing on for you - whatever you need! I am active and fit, I exercise everyday and enjoy my daily walk - however I would love to walk & adventure with a canine friend - could this be your lovely pup?
