Growing up my uncle Steven specialised in training Rottweilers, many of which excelled in competitions. His home boasted dedicated training areas offering a captivating experience as I observed and learned about the intricate relationships between dogs, their owners, and trainers. Additionally my extensive exposure to family-owned farms equipped me with the skills to care for a diverse range of animals from sheep and horses to farm dogs, chicks and ducklings. An early instance of my commitment to animal welfare involved rescuing an abandoned duckling. An intriguing fact I discovered during my experiences with rescued lambs is sheep and their limited number of nipples-two, which becomes significant when they give birth to triplets. In such cases intervention by human farmers becomes crucial, as the ewe may reject one lamb due to the inability to feed all three. This necessitates selective bottle-feeding is to ensure the survival of the lambs. During high school, my passion for animals led me to work and volunteer as an animal caretaker at the Arian Farm Education Park. This experience deepened my affinity for rabbits, ultimately steering me towards involvement in rabbit rescues. My Rex rabbit, initially deemed unaffectionate and almost defective, defied expectations becoming a social, confident, and adventurous companion through patient interaction and care.
