Pets are a gift like no other, and I've been so delighted to have many wonderful ones in my life and help the ones in others' homes! I began formally dog sitting when I was a student doing my bachelor's degree in the USA. I found it was a great way to take a break from academics, and connect with animals and their humans wholeheartedly. There, I worked for three years providing services on a platform similar to Pawshake, providing drop in care, walks, and stay-in sitting. I accommodated pets with a variety of physical, dietary, and enrichment needs for both new and returning clients. A perk of booking with me is I always try to capture some cute photos for you and provide detailed drop-in notes!
I offer dog walking, home visits, and home sitting to offer families flexible options to care for your pets. I always adjust my level of care to meet the needs of your family. Typically, I like to meet once prior to finalizing booking to meet your pets and discuss their needs in the context of your space. As an early PhD student, my schedule is very flexible. Whether you need a weekday visitor, a weekend sitter, or you won't make it home in time for doggie dinner and need help, I'm your person! I typically do walks and visits anywhere between breakfast and dinner for your pets and can prioritize WFH during home sitting bookings.
Dog walkings are my shortest service, I typically spend about an hour with your pet(s), making sure to greet them at their pace, get them ready for a walk, and head out for a stroll around the neighborhood for at least 20 minutes. I use a leash at all times unless we are in a private, fenced space, per the owners preference. When we return, if there are any messes in the house or medications to be provided, I can happily accomodate those requests.
Home visits are my go-to recommendation if you have more than one pet that require individual attention or you want me to give your pet some extra snuggles and play time. I spend about 1-2 hours with your pets, tidying up after them, providing a meal, and some engaging play. During home visits, I'm also happy to grab the mail, set out the bins, or any other quick tasks you need done. My goal with a home visit is to make sure your pets feel comfortable while you're out and your house is in order for when you return!
Finally, the most comprehensive service I provide is home sitting. I think this option is a great way to connect with your pets, provide 24/7 access to care, and keep your home safe and secure. Whether it's drawing the blinds, checking the locks, or keeping you in the loop about packages, I think home sitting is a great way to have peace at mind that both your pets and home are well taken care of. It is also a great way for me to support higher needs animals that require frequent bathroom breaks, scheduled care, specialty meals and medicine, or comfort during storms, fireworks, etc. Much like home visits, I can sign for packages, manage the bins, water plants, and keep the space tidy.
