Hi! My name is Monique and I'm a young professional working in Central Wellington. I moved to Wellington in January 2023 for a change in social and career opportunities and a general love for the city. I originally grew up in Wanaka, enjoying the outdoors and all they had to offer. My family and I moved to Picton just before I turned 15. A few of my current hobbies include rock climbing, surfing, playing musical instruments and walking/hiking. This is primarily one of the reasons that I loved the idea of pet sitting. It would be so great to have a companion to join in on some of my excursions, even if it is just a walk around the south coast. Having recently lost my childhood spoodle, I have a lot of pet love to give! I have experience caring for dogs through pet sitting for friends/family and a previous employment during which the family I was a nanny for adopted a Visler puppy (who was very high energy but a lot of fun!) I imagine I will be suitable primarily for day care as I live in a shared apartment. However, my flatmates are all animal lovers and we have had dogs stay overnight in the past so this is definitely an option. Our house is in mt vic and we have a fenced in backyard that would be appropriate for a stretch of the legs etc. I also have a vehicle so can do pick up or drop offs if neccessary. And of course, any specific boundaries/requirements that you or your pets may have will always be respected as I endevour to provide them with the utmost care during the times they are under my supervision. I currently work a full time job so my availability throughout the week is from 5-6pm until 9pm. On the weekends and every second friday I am available all day.
