As a dog lover, I know how important it is to know your fur baby is well-loved and cared for when trusting someone else to look after them. I'm obsessed with dogs and love everything about them, having spent most of my life around them. At this point, I'm not in a position to have a dog of my own so nothing would make me happier than getting out and exploring the Wellington area with a furry friend.
Travelling through Asia last year, I took the opportunity to meet and pet as many dogs as possible on my travels, and since arriving in New Zealand in 2019 I have been an active member of a local dog-walking group in the South Island and have become a regular dog walker to several local doggies, who I treat and love as if they were my own. While studying at university away from home (and my dog) I volunteered at a local dog rehoming centre to help out with the day to day jobs and give the residents some much-needed love and cuddles. I have also housesitted on several occasions in the past - looking after dogs, as well as rabbits and cats.
Although I have no formal training, I am confident and have experience in looking after dogs of all sizes and understanding their behaviours. Whether it's a good run your furry friend needs, or just some cuddles and companionship to break up a long workday, I'm here to help! I offer both dog walking and home visits, whether on a regular basis or as a one-off.
If your dog needs a short half-hour stroll around the neighbourhood or a multiple hour adventure, I aim to fit what best suits you and your dogs routine wherever possible, whether that be on/ off lead, solo walks or socialisation.
I am new to the area so am fully flexible with timings, and although I am unable to offer any accommodation in my own home, I am also available for house sittings- I'm happy to water plants and stay overnight if needed, just let me know what you need!
