Hey! My name is Aleesha and I am 21 year old working professional with a passion and love for animals of all shapes and sizes! :)

My Story:

I have always loved animals. When I was 10 I started volunteering at the SPCA cleaning out cat cages, a job many would find boring, but I loved it and it sparked a passion in me! I began studying Vet Nursing when I left High School but decided to work for a few years before I return to study. I have worked full time in various Doggy Daycares/Kennels in the last 3 years, and my love for animals has continued to grow. I have a big interest in Animal Behaviour and Dog Training, which I was able to learn lots about working in a kennel environment. I love to teach and inform people about training their dogs, I am more than welcome to give tips and advice alongside any service.

I have done a lot of pet-sitting in the last few years, mostly for work clients and family friends.

About Me:

I am now working as a Receptionist at a Vet Clinic, which I absolutely love! It combines my two favourite things, helping people and ANIMALS!

I love all animals of all shapes and sizes. I am confident in caring for large dogs (Rottweilers are my favourite breed) as well as Cats, Small Animals such as Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Rats. I am very experienced in the care of animals including feeding, exercise, and enrichment personalised to your pet.

I am doing Pawshake on the side of my full time job as my partner and I are saving to buy our first home! And what better way than to spend time with animals!

My pets:

Unfortunately, in June of 2021, I lost my dear boy Marley. He was a 9 year old Jack Russell X that I had since I was 13. (He is in a few of the photos). I also have a 12 year old family cat named Busta who lives at my parents house.

My partner and I now own 2 11 month old rats which are the love of my life. They're names are Ozzie and Leroy.

Home Visits:

House visits will be one hour, unless arranged prior. This will include feeding, toileting, providing clean drinking water, cleaning up any mess, spending quality time with your pet, playing games with your pet or a walk if arranged prior. These are typically one or two of the following: before 8am, between 12pm - 2pm, and after 5:30pm.

These can be either ONCE or TWICE Daily.

Extras:

I am confident giving medications, which can be arranged prior to the stay/visit. This will incur NO extra cost.

Meet & Greet:

Prior to any service, a free 1/2 hour meet and greet will be arranged where I can meet with you and your pet, and organise the services. This gives you and your pet to get to now me, and ask as many questions as needed. We can arrange what is expected from both parties.

Availability:

I am available most weekdays and weekends. As much notice as possible is appreciate as there may be limitations due to social or work commitments

I provide services mostly in Te Awamutu, Ohaupo and Glenview.
