Hellooo, I'm Giovanna but you can call me G. I'm a pet lover since I was a child, cats and dogs are my passion but I'm open to take care of any animal with much love.
I'm from Brazil where I lived my entire life and started to help stray dogs and cats, unfortunately there is comum people buy a pet and after that abandoned them on the streets :(
Everything started when I had a shitszu that I bought in 2013. After that searching more about animals I found out that in Brazil almost 20 million of dogs and 10 millions of cats are living on the streets. It made me very upset so I decided to do something to help them to have a better life, as they deserved.
Since that, my parents and I rescued a total of 9 cats and 9 dogs from streets in São Paulo (city that I born) and donate approximately 40 kg of feed per month to NGOs in our city.
Some of the pets we rescued we took care for a short time, pay for their vaccinations, castration and found a place with a new family to love and take care of them again.
Nowadays we have a total of 6 cats (including a pawless kitten who suffered abuse) and 6 dogs living in our house in Brazil as part of our family. As I came to New Zealand my parents (their grandparents as I am their mom :)) are still taking care of them with much love.
They are my everyday missing and how I can't have a pet here in New Zealand because I'm sending money for my parents to help in Brazil, I decided to help who need a hand with their best friends.

Giovanna goes above and beyond looking after our 4 month old border collie puppy! We booked one home visits per day while we were at work. Giovanna was great with our puppy, doing play time, walks and any cleaning required, which gave us peace of mind that our puppy was getting the care and exercise she neeed. She gave us lots of updates throughout her visit and a run-down of how the day went at the end of each visit :) Definitely would recommend Giovanna to anyone looking for a dog sitter 😊
We are beyond pleased with Giovanna and her care for our Skye during her extended stay of 6 days. She provided 24-hour care, ensuring our puppy was not only fed and safe but also given a lot of playtime and affection.
She kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us peace of mind knowing our Skye was in great hands. We couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter.
