Hi there, I’m Laura.

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for animals of all shapes, sizes and personalities – Growing up I was that kid frequently bringing home injured or orphaned critters much to the dismay of my parents! 

Having cared for cats, dogs, horses, chickens, sheep, cows, rabbits, goats, ducks, fish - I’ve never not had animals in my life and this subsequently manifested on a professional level where I have coordinated and wrangled horses and animals for film and television both here and overseas in the past. I still do this on a casual contract basis and really love any work I get to do with animals.

I currently have a wee menagerie of my own, consisting of two senior cats, a very affectionate staffy cross lab dog (who loves to play with other friendly dogs), two horses and a flock of sheep plus chickens that I keep at a farm I manage. 

My services: 

Residential Home visits – I will feed your cat or any other small animals you have (lifestyle blocks and farms also welcome, see below), give plenty of cuddles, playtime and/or grooming (on their terms of course!) administer any meds if required, top up water and feed bowls, clean litter trays, water plants, bring mail in and turn on/off lights etc. I provide updates and photos of your fur babies every visit and let you know if anything else catches my attention or if I spot anything of concern. 

Lifestyle blocks/Farms – I can carry out the above as I do for normal residential households, plus feed out to any stock you have, check water troughs, rotate animals to new paddocks or move electric tape if needed, make sure no one has escaped through any fences, carry out visual checks for health issues or injuries, fly strike, etc. I am also competent driving a quad bike if required. Please send me a message regarding pricing for this, as I can do a package discount for multiple animals.

Dog boarding/Day outings for younger or higher energy dogs – **Update - please note I am not currently offering doggy daycare services as I am moving house! However I am offering doggy daycare trips in the meantime in replacement of this, which involves your pup being picked up and taken out to the forest and/or beach for a great run around/play for a few hours with my own dog and possibly a farm visit then dropped home. You can book this under the "dog walking" service **Best suited to dogs happy to have a good play with my own dog, must not have a high prey drive with stock as I take them out to the farm for exercise, which I find they love as it’s essentially one massive private dog park for them to run around and play at. Dogs must be up to date with flea treatments and vaccinations.

Dog walking for older/lower energy dogs – If you have a dog with lower energy levels or who is a bit older in their golden years, I can come by and take them out on a local 30 minute walk at a pace that suits them. Please contact to discuss.
