About Masako
My name is Masako. I am originally from Japan and live in Tawa with my husband, daughter, two miniature Schnoodles and one Bichon Frise.
Small dogs over 18 month old are welcomed. I value dog training based on mutual respect and holistic care. Being a Pawshake customer myself for several years, I understand the importance of caring all the dogs as my own furry children.
We go for a pack and individual walks to the streets, a reserve and dog parks (if it is considered safe) in the Tawa community.
Our property is in a tight residential area. It is also licensed as a home based kennel facility from Wellington City Council. For this reason, we have our health and safety, noise control protocols. At home, the dogs have a free access to the outdoor area. Our house is in a residential area so we encourage our dogs to be in content, peaceful and low energy mode. We also use crates if the dogs feel safe to stay.
Please understand that In some cases( e.g. excessive barking, disruptive and negative behaviours towards humans and other dogs, excessive markings), we have our right to rerun a dog to their owners or a nominated caregiver.
Please provide your dog a ready to feed dog food. We might not have enough space and measure to prevent food contaminations in our human freezer nor fridge. So please have a chat with us if your dog is normally on raw food or homemade food. Our dogs occasionally share treats and special meals(e.g. birthday or Christmas diners). Please give us clear guidance on special diet requirements, food intolerance and allergies.

One Pawshake Bath and Blow Dry service is free for a boarding booking ( other grooming services might be available. Please enquire within.

Reviews
Masako and her family provided the absolute best care for our much loved dog. Close attention was paid to our dog before and during her stay to ensure that she was happy and healthy. When we picked her up she was calm and content. It was reassuring for us to have regular updates and photos as well. We had a great holiday, and so did our dog!
