Hi there! I’m Ruby.

Growing up in rural northern Hawke’s Bay, I was lucky to be surrounded by all sorts of animals—from family pets to farmyard friends. Over the years, I’ve gained plenty of experience caring for animals big and small. I’ve walked and handled a variety of dog breeds during my time volunteering at the SPCA, and I’ve even cared for retired sled dogs during an unforgettable stint in Alaska.

My animal adventures don’t stop there—I’ve raised lambs, looked after a baby pig, helped care for our family donkey, and worked on a horse ranch in Montana, USA.
