Hello, I am Aisleen, a 32 year old New Zealand resident originally from England. I work and live in Frankton for the council as an environmental officer. I would happily discuss any suburbs in the Wakatipu region as I have a car, though further distances may require petrol costs. I am available for daily visits, walks and house sitting for any manner of animal. I can work from home and have flexible hours to suit your pets needs.
I have a bachelors with honours in Animal Biology which had modules such as behaviour and nutrition. My study choice shows how I have had a love of animal welfare for quite some time. After graduating, I spent 3 years in Australia and New Zealand in the marine biology sector with a focus on megafauna, specifically dolphins, whales and sharks.
Personally, I have had a range of pets including dogs, cats, lizards, snakes and rabbits. Throughout university I assisted a colleague who helped source animals required for zoo breeding programmes to increase their populations. Through his license I assisted in the relocation and brief care between zoos of a wide range of exotic animals including flying foxes, caimans, sugar gliders and meerkats, to name a few.
Unfortunately, I am not currently in a circumstance to have my own pets full time and sadly, after my family dog passed away back home, there is a hole in my life that a family pet should fill.
I have fostered kittens through Queenstown Cat Rescue and have cat and dog sat for an array of people in the region, which I can happily provide references from. I have more time and love to give to furry family members so would love to help out if you need me.
I can administer basic medication, continued training and general grooming.
I will bring in any mail and water your plants. I worked for 6 years in horticulture so if you have further garden or plant needs this can be discussed.
I can stay in contact, including with happy pet pictures, and any changes with the pet will be communicated. I will take to the vet if needed or when agreed upon.
Day visits are a minimum of 30 mins and includes love, pets and play, feeding and watering, cleaning up after pet.
Walks are a minimum of 30 minutes, though my preferred loop with or without a pet companion takes about an hour. If younger or older pets require a short walk, we can discuss this as well as on lead or off lead options. The location will be a local track to the house or if you have a preferred walk for your pooch let me know.
It would be great to meet to discuss if we would be a fit so please message any questions you may have.
