Kia ora! My name is Yvonne and I'm a cat AND dog lover from Seattle, WA, USA. I'm currently living in New Zealand on my Working Holiday Visa (valid through spring 2025). I have worked at an animal shelter (Seattle Humane) for 2 years and I also grew up with cats. >^.^<

At the moment, I'm living with my close Kiwi Friends in Wellington's Hutt Valley. We used to teach English together in Japan and I decided to follow them here to beautiful Aotearoa. They have two cats (which is purrrfect) but I'm looking forward to meeting more local pets and pet parents around the area and different parts of New Zealand. I'm available for house/socialization visits if you're working long days at the office or I'm also available to support you with in-home/24-hour sitting if you are travelling or out of town.

I'm loving NZ life so far and I'd love to get more involved with the community and lifestyle here through pet-sitting. I've belonged to another global petsitting website (Trusted Housesitters) for four years, which has led to heaps of amazing petsitting opportunities and jobs in Germany, Austria, Croatia, and back home in the United States. Petsitting over the years has been such a beautiful way to get to know locals, unique locations, and of course, so many wonderful family pets! I dream of adopting my own pets someday, but in the meantime, it's been wonderful having the freedom to travel and take care of other people's pets. Pets truly bring me so much comfort, joy, and a sense of home as I've been slowly travelling.
