My partner David and I have been resident in New Zealand for 25 years, 16 of which were spent with our two beloved Labrador siblings who are sadly no longer with us. Back in the UK we had two Labs, and David has had a dog in his family since he was 5 years old. David also used to train gun dogs in the UK. We both adore dogs large and small whatever the breed and are at our most happiest amongst them.

Whilst considering having another dog we have looked around the Waikato area for dog sitting and boarding services that would be available if ever we needed them. It seems to be a very expensive service and we thought we would like to offer something ourselves that could be more affordable for people. It is a two-way street, we get to enjoy the company of wonderful dogs and owners get to enjoy time away from their beloved pooch at an affordable cost knowing that they are in safe hands.

We still have the car we used to transport our 'girls' about in so we can take dogs up to Tills Lookout in Hamilton for walks away from the streets and cars, over to the beach at Raglan, walks by the river etc. Our garden is fully fenced and large enough for dogs and puppies to runabout and have fun.

We will only board fully vaccinated dogs and puppies.

NOTE. Having been Pawshake Sitters since August 2023 we decided we would like to donate some of the fee towards some of the many dog rescues in New Zealand. As such we contacted Pawshake and asked if $5 of the sitter/boarding fee can be exempt from Pawshake's percentage. It cannot but they are happy for us to ask clients to donate $5 cash per day for each session.
