Lover of all animals (small, large, fluffy, feathered or scaly). I'm the owner of a dog, a cat, five chickens, two pigs and three goats. My husband and I live on a large lifestyle block with plenty of space for our animals to play and adventure.

I have owned and worked with various animals since I was a child - volunteering at an animal farm when I was just 11 years old.

I have previously worked at a veterinary hospital for five years as an admin assistant, and also helped with boarding of animals, administering medications, general animal handling.

Our dog Tex is a rescue, found dumped in forestry area as a puppy. We have done lots of behavioural work with Tex to ensure he is trusting of people including working with a behavioural dog trainer. I am confident with nervous dogs and can identify behavioural signs and triggers. Whilst Tex can be nervous of people, he loves other dogs, visitI have doggy daycare regularly. He is also very found of our rag doll cat Millie (who is actually 'top dog). 

We also own a small cafe with a petting zoo which includes Kunekune pigs, chickens and goats. I tend to and look after the farm animals including feeding, cleaning and mucking out, general health checks and grooming.

I'm happy to do - dog walking, feeding (all animals), administering medications, enclosure clean up, drop offs to doggy day care/cattery/vet, replacing water, general enrichment i.e playing with cat and toys, handling birds.
