Hello!

My name's Izzy, I'm 20 years old, and I've returned to New Zealand for the first time since I left 18 years ago. I'm currently taking a break from school to travel and reconnect with the country I was born in. I've been exploring and seeing as much of the country as possible before settling in Auckland to finish my studies at AUT. It's been such a beautiful journey so far!

I love animals which is why I've chosen to try to use pet-sitting as a way to travel. I've been pet-sitting for friends and neighbors for the past ten years and have been pet-sitting through the platforms Rover, Trusted Housesitters, and Workaway for the past two years. I love animals and am a very attentive and experienced pet sitter. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments as well as other animals like cats and poultry. I live a fairly active lifestyle so I can keep up with high-energy dogs and tend to their needs. I understand the anxiety that sometimes comes with leaving your beloved pet under someone else's care, so I always make sure to send pet parents photo and video updates to put any of those worries at ease.

I have plenty of experience pet sitting in owners' homes. I make sure to take care of not only your beloved pets but also your home. This includes bringing in mail, watering plants if you have them, making sure the home is locked up when I go out and in the evenings, and keeping the place tidy for your return. I'm flexible and happy to accommodate your pet's needs. I do have a car so if your pet enjoys long hikes, trips to the beach, or some social time at the dog park, I can take them out. If they're more used to a walk around the block, I'm happy to do that too. I will never make any decision that could put your pet at risk unless I have checked in to make sure it is okay i.e. being around other dogs, being off-leash at the beach or on a trail, or being in the car.

I have full availability since I am traveling, but that also means that I am looking for bookings to be made a bit in advance so that I can plan out my travel route.
