About Maris
I am Maris, 34, originally from Brazil and I have a car. I came to Christchurch in August due to a long pet/ housesit and recently learned about this app. I have been a full time pet/ house sitter since 2021, and have over 25 reviews for these services across two other platforms - I have done sits raging from 2 nights to 3 months long. Alongside my partner I have cared full time for indoor and outdoor cats, friendly and ferral cats, kittens and puppies, senior dogs, disabled cats, small, medium and large dogs, multiple dogs/cats at the same home, dogs and cats that were on medication/e-tube, chickens, birds, rats, rabbits and fish. It has been a great, fun journey.
Throughout my life I had dogs and cats that would come into my life as a baby and stay until their last day. I had two weimaraners, two poodles, a lab, and three cats. My last two pets have sadly passed away after a long, happy life shortly before I decided to travel the world full time as a pet/ housesitter. At the moment I dedicate my time to other people's pets and whilst they are with me I treat them as mine. I remember every single pet I have looked after so far and I miss each one dearly. I am so thrilled whenever an owner invites me to do a repeated sit.
I would like to offer my services here on the following terms:
Daily visits: happy to come and check on any pet you have, feed, give medication if required, clean their areas, play, take them out, water plants, collect mail, take bins out. Please let me know whatever needs you might have and I will go above and beyond to accommodate them. Length of visit to be discussed and agreed on and I will send you pictures and videos on each visit.
Dog walking/ cat exercise: happy to take your dog (s) on your favorite route or even to a dog park/beach. I can come and spend time with your cat to exercise them as well. Minimum walk or exercise is 30 minutes, but open to up to 2 hours.
Pet/ Housesitting: I can come and stay full time at your house from 1 night. I do not have a maximum amount of days that I can housesit: the longer the merrier. Whilst housesitting I am happy to help you with garden, pool, tidying up, any jobs around the house, etc. please let me know your needs and we can go from there.

Maris did an amazing job looking after our 2 cats while we were away on holiday. She went over and above by taking our bins and mail in and out and keeping our place tidy.
