Kane

We are a family that loves dogs (Kane a teacher , Catherine a planner, Milla 12yrs, Honor 10yrs and Jasper - 6yrs). Dogs have always been a big part of our lives and they will always have a home with us. Currently we have Indie a 4 yr old labradoodle, she is both fun and loving and welcomes other dogs (maximum of 2 more) on to our property in her usual style - with a big wagging tail! Her daughter Winnie is 2 yrs old and too is a loving pooch who loves playing with the visiting dogs.

Indie and Winnie have been our motivation to become petsitters. Using Pawshake petsitters is how we choose to have them looked after if we have to leave her. Its all the little touches that let us know that all is ok - the regular check-ins with us about how their stay is, the photos, walks and cuddles. We want to be able to do this for your dog too!

We have a safe and secure environment to care for your furry friend. We can accommodate your dog in a way they are used to, that may be on their bed inside or in our back sleepout/shed on a dog bed or in a crate or we even have a kennel if that's what they are used to! Our property is double fenced (with high fencing) so they won't be getting out with lawn areas to run around in at both the front and back of the property - if we are not at home dogs will only have access to the backyard.

We are at work/school during daytime hours but are home after school and during school holidays. When we are out your dog will have some four-legged company with Indie.

We are an active family and love going on adventures. Our usual spots to take Indie are to Burnside and Avonhead Parks (for daily or twice daily 40 minute walks). Other usual spots we go are to the Groynes (1 hour walk) and out to the beach - we would love your dog to come along with us on those adventures.

We are located in Ilam, Christchurch only minutes away from the airport we are offering a caring environment for your dog where we will take your dog for walks, give it loads of pats and cuddles and it will be in the company of a great natured labradoodle (Indie) for some more four-legged company.

We are happy to meet with you and your dog to ensure suitability for all. We can chat about the special needs of your dog and how you hope they get looked after while you are away. Vaccination records will need to be provided on drop off or before.
