Hi my name is Paige I'm 29. I was born in Ireland and lived there until I was 11 and have resided in NZ ever since. I am proudly a New Zealand Citizen and hold both an Irish and NZ passport. I love animals, started horse riding at 3 and went on to own my own horse when we moved to NZ. My first pet was my goldfish Bob and he lived to the ripe age of 12, I've also had gerbils (rodant), hamsters, rabbits, cats and a dog he was a golden retriever x Labrador. I have looked after my sisters dog many times and he,s a mix of pit bull and staffy.
I live in Christchurch Central but am happy to travel for a petsitting job. I am unemployed due to health reasons that make it very difficult to work full time or find suitable part-time work. I always feel when I say that I need to give a explanation but as it's complicated I'm going to try and simplify it - I had a Brain Tumor removed when I was 12, it was cancerous so I then had to have cancer treatment and as it was a aggressive form of cancer I needed an aggressive treatment plan. This has left me with long-term health problems. If you require more info please feel free to ask, I'm not sensitive about condition or Google "Medulloblastoma":). Anyways being unemployed means I have pleanty of time to spend with your fur babies.
In terms of pet sitting, I have had a quite a few jobs now that have gone well with both Pets and owners happy. I've had plenty of my own (Pets) and I was a responsible pet owner to all my babies. I have Fostered orphaned kittens from the SPCA a couple of times now (You'll find lots of photos of these babies on my profile).
My services work like this:
One visit one hour, included in that hour can be giving food, changing water, cleaning hutch, litter tray or if puppy (or pet) has had an accident cleaning up, cuddles & play.
Pet/House-sitting - I will meet with you at your house for a meet and greet, and you can show me around your house, introduce me to your furr baby, show me any tips and tricks you have for them and discuss cares for the pet etc. After this I recommend you write out a list of instructions for me before the house sitting date, that way I won't miss anything important! During my stay at your home, I will follow all instructions, put bins out, clean up after myself and the pet, and respect your property. During this time I will endeavor to keep your baby to it’s routine as much as possible and keep him/her company, I have fatigue so am a home body anyways only going out for appointments and errands. I will walk your dog 1-2 times a day depending its requirements.
I consider myself very tidy, So will always leave your house clean. I promise to put your pet first while they are in my care, and communicate with you throughout my time with them.. if you would like updates and photos while i am dog walking/pet sitting I am more than happy to provide those :)
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
Paige did amazing looking after our springer spaniel. Great communication while we were away. Chester was nice and relaxed with her despite being usually a bit nervous around new people. She was super caring and we came back to a really happy dog!
Friendly and responsive and took great care of our wee man.
