Hello! I’m Nicola. I’m 36 years old, originally from Christchurch and have lived in Melbourne for the past 10 years. I am a trustworthy and experienced pet sitter and have used pet sitting services regularly myself. I am an animal lover through and through, especially dogs - all shapes and sizes and personalities! Pets are special members of our families, they bring so much fun, joy and love to our lives each day.

I had a 7 year old cheeky yet stubborn Beagle called Barkley but sadly he now lives with my ex-partner in Melbourne. I was very attached to Barkley and miss him terribly.

I hired a pet sitter for Barkely each time I went away as I preferred that he stay in his own surroundings where he is comfortable, so I completely understand why you are looking at the pet sitting option over a boarding kennel.

I have looked after many breeds of dogs in my own home in Melbourne and have experience petsitting dogs and cats in Christchurch.

House Sitting

I run a virtual assistant business so I can work from anywhere on my laptop which means I will be around most of the day during a house sit to keep your pets company and walk your dogs. I am experienced at administering medication to pets as Barkley had developed Cushings disease which meant that I had to syringe medicine into his mouth twice a day, morning and night. With his floppy ears he was suseptible to ear infections so I am used to wiping out ears daily too! I am more than happy to do any jobs you need around the house such as watering the lawn, plants and putting rubbish bins out. I can assure you I will leave your house in immaculate condition, and naturally I will clean up after your pet and brush them regularly.

I also offer dog walking and home visits as a service. Working for myself I am super felxible with my availibility so times (morning, afternooon or evening) can be negotiated on a case by case basis.

Walks

I will take them on an 1 hour walk or split up the time between a walk and then play time in your backyard if you prefer.

Home Visits

30 mins for play time, feeding (if required), toileting, replenishing water, bring in mail/courier parcels etc.

Photos

For every service I will send you photo updates so that you can be confident that your pet is being well looked after in your absence.
