Mel

Hi! My name is Mel and I have recently moved from Australia to Auckland. I live in Grey Lynn and am happy to go to homes around Grey Lynn/CBD/Ponsonby and surrounding areas. I am a teacher, working part time on the North Shore. I am an animal lover and have always had pets my whole life. Currently my beautiful bunny and cat are in Australia with my sisters while I raise the funds to fly them over to be with me and I miss them terribly! I am also fostering a gorgeous little bun from Raining Rabbits Rescue and am soon to adopt him, as we've fallen in love! I have had dogs, cats, bunnies, Guinea pigs, chickens, birds and even a pig across the course of my life and have extensive experience with cats, bunnies and dogs especially. I am kind, caring and gentle and have experience training animals, too. I love to go walking with dogs and playing with animals is one of my favourite pastimes. I have had much experience in Australia pet sitting for many many different owners, and many different animal varieties. My absolute favourite pets are bunnies, but I love all animals.

I am available in afternoons, evenings and weekends usually. I can walk dogs around the area or in a nearby park, check in on any animals, keep pets company, check in on homes (e.g water plants, bring in mail, etc), administer medication, feed pets, play with pets and clean up after pets. It would be an honour to get to spend my free time in Auckland caring for other people's fur babies while I'm saving away to bring my own babies here.

I am experienced with rabbits and know how to care for them and to look out for stasis/etc. I am a foster carer for raining rabbits rescue.
