Since COVID happened, Julie and I returned to New Zealand, leaving our little Corgis with our good friends in China. Originally our Corgis were due to arrive in late September 2023 (just in time for the Rugby World Cup). But the little rascals have decided to stay in their China home indefinitely. So until we find new Corgis, we are available for bookings.
What is your motivation to be a pet sitter?
With myself working from anywhere with internet access and Julie with her culinary studies, we decided that pet sitting would allow us to get out of the house and exercise.
Do you have previous experience?
Julie and I both grew up with family pets, which included dogs, cats, goats, birds and sheep, to name a few. But, since moving back to New Zealand, we have been looking after people's pets and homes, from gorgeous, small furries to medium-sized house dogs and barely-can-fit-in-the-house Rottweilers.
Do you only take vaccinated pets into your home?
We prefer to stay at the owners' place to cause minimum disruption to the pets' routine, especially with cats. If anyone has moved house with a cat before, they will know what I mean. Keeping people's pets happy and comfortable in their own home, makes everyone happy.
Will you send updates on our pets?
Julie and I offer to send daily updates of your pets* via a social messaging app of your choice of any super-cute moments or random acts of gorgeous.
*Disclaimer: This may or may not include photos of your cat, as sometimes they can prove very elusive.
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
Again, great care was taken of Rufus.
