Claire

Hello there. My name is Claire, i am 33 years old and live with my partner, our nine year old son and two beautiful kittys. We live in Glen Eden. I am a tattoo artist. I spend alot of time with my cats to be honest. I love playing with them and feel guilty if i dont because i know that their little souls need attention and joy just like we humans do. 

My motivation to be a pet sitter comes from the fact that i have spare time between appointments. That leaves me plenty of time in which i could pop out and look after your babies. Although i am not a dog owner i have been around dogs alot in my life and also love them too.

I think i am a great pet sitter as i have a huge level of empathy for animals, being a vegetarian and having lived with cats my whole life. Animals seem to feel relaxed around me. I am also extremely organised and practical, skills that have been perfected in my nine years of parenting. Our family has two cats, one is a Birman (Fang,3) and the other is a Tonkinese (Charlie,5). We got the first kitty Charlie after our Son was born and then Fang came to keep Charlie company. there have been many challenges along the way looking after these unique souls but at every step we approached the most practical and loving solution. Having grown up around pets my entire life there are not many situations i am unfamiliar with. My aunty and uncle had two dogs when i was growing up and i learnt how to walk them and behavioural training. I recently looked after a house with a puppy for three weeks and taught her how to walk on a leash and to stop barking at strangers.

Prices 

I usually recommend that cats have one visit per day and dogs two. In the end this is up to you.
