About Saskia
Hi, I am Saskia.
I am studying full time at AUT towards a bachelor of arts degree. I love all animals and I am a very experienced dog walker. I have worked with dogs, puppies and cats of all sizes and ages.
My mother owns Leonburns Kennels and breeds Leonberger dogs full time. She also has miniature horses, cats, sheep, cows, chickens, ducks and most recently doves. I have worked with her off and on for years assisting with showing, training, grooming, feeding and breeding so I have a wealth of experience with the handling and care of dogs and other animals. I have also worked in New Zealand with two boisterous German Shepherds and two gorgeous Japanese Spitz, and in England with two fox terrier crosses, and a pack containing an adorable long haired chihuahua and two sweet shitzus. I have owned two English Staffordshire terriers, one English Bull terrier, two chihuahuas and four cats.
Walks are 30 minutes but can be reduced for senior dogs or young puppies. Home visits are usually 30 minutes unless discussed. Longer home visits will incur a further charge. I am happy to feed, water and play with any animals you have and can water plants, check mail and clean up any messes!
I own a car, have a full NZ license and am willing to travel, however I may need to charge for travel for trips over 15 minutes one way due to the price of gas! I am more than happy to discuss you and your pets' needs. I will do my best to be as flexible as possible to accommodate you. I can provide walks, home visits, short term pet sitting, overnights, feeding, medication and some grooming. Feel free to contact me to further discuss how I can help.

Saskia took care of our two cats (one a diabetic) and house for two weeks. She is a great communicator with a can do attitude and it enabled us to relax knowing our pets and home were in good hands while we were away. Would highly recommend and have Saskia take care of things again
