Hi, I'm Lauren a fit active early retiree who is passionate about animals, especially dogs.

I've been dog sitting in NZ and overseas since the passing of our elderly dog in Dec 22.

I am retired and I have plenty of love and time to look after other peoples fur babies and would welcome your beloved dog, or dogs, into our home to care for them for you. I understand what a big decision it is to leave your pets with someone else while you are away and hope my reviews here will reassure you of how well I will love and care for your loved ones.

Im retired and my husband works from home so your pups will have continuous company throughout the day and lots of cuddles and pats and they'll get the exercise they need.

Living in Auckland’s CBD we are close to excellent walking spots for dog of all ages and fitness levels, such as Westhaven, Ponsonby Park and Victoria Park.
I walk my petsit dogs twice a day for up to an hour (time dependant on their needs) and also take them out for regular toileting outings.

Having cared for several pets over the last 40 years, from when they were only a few weeks old through to their senior years, I am very experienced with caring for animals of all life stages. I am confident in and capable of looking after high energy youngsters to older pets with special and/or medical needs.

Your dog, will need to be desexed, dewormed, flea treated and have up to date vaccinations. Please advise special medical needs or behavioural habits in your booking request and we can discuss this further when we meet.

You will provide their food and bedding but we do have a soft crate for them to sleep in our lounge if needed. You may prefer to provide your dogs own bed or crate for their stay with us. 

We are pretty relaxed if your fur baby is use to being allowed on beds and couches but I appreciate that it’s important to reinforce how you do things in your home so you set the rules on this.

I generally take one dog at a time or dogs together from the same household.

However from time to time I have been asked by owners of dogs I have previously sat to take their dog too when I have another booked in. If I know that dog is good with other dogs I may ask you if you are happy for your dog to have a playmate for a few days. If you are not that's fine.

Please note that I have a minimum two night stay.

And of course I would like a meet and greet with you and your pet prior to commencing your booking.
