I am a dog walker and sitter. I am generally available to walk anytime during the day on weekends, depending on when suits you best. I cannot keep the dog at my house so I only offer house sitting or home visits when it comes to looking after your dog.

About me
I love dogs, I used to volunteer at least once a week at Dogwatch, but now I am just casual. I regularly commit to walking a few dogs here and there to help people out!

I strongly believe in training methods that centre around reward rather than punishment. I primarily work on marker based training where a cue is used eg. A clicker and then the dog is rewarded. This is shown to help the dog associate desired behaviour with good things coming to them (treats). I have worked with a dog to give her leash manners and better recall. I am happy to take on dogs with behavioural issues and incorporate training into my walks.

I myself have a dog who is dog reactive and sometimes wary of strangers so I am happy to take similar dogs on walks. I only ask that you tell me the dog's behaviour beforehand as I am not a fan of surprises.

I prefer to only walk vaccinated and desexed dogs as it reduces the risk to me and the dog during the time we spend together. I will possibly take on dogs that are not desexed but I would prefer they are not humpy.

I have experience with a range of breeds but I am most comfortable with bull breeds and herding dogs as these are the ones with which I have the most experience. I helped train and raise my parent's fox terrier, the dogs I primarily work with at the shelter are staffy and herding dog mixes and I regularly walk a cattle dog cross. This is not to say I prefer working with these breeds, and I am still interested in meeting your dog if it is not one of these!
