Hi I’m Maddie.

I’m 19 years old and I love dog walking and house sitting. Im currently job hunting in Auckland after I studied a one year Bible study course last year. I play music, like to cook, read, swim and exercise as well as look after my family.

Ive been dog walking since I was 13 casually and started housesitting since 2022. I love pets, I've grown up with them and every animal I've met always seems to be comfortable around me. I've housesat for Guinea pigs, fish, birds, dogs and cats and have got some bookings for somewhere with chickens and sheep in a couple months time.

I’m reliable, caring, honest, friendly, polite, tidy and trustworthy. I strive to look after animals well, have fun with them and look after the house well too and hope to exceed expectations.

My experience: I house sat in Masterton regularly for someone when I lived there, during weekends and looked after his cats. I house sat for a month in August 2022 for two french bulldogs. I currently house sit regularly for an elderly woman when she goes away, which has 3 cats. Occasionally I house sit for another who has 2 cats. A few references are below :)

Housesitting reference 1:

Madison has looked after my cat on 4 occasions now, each time I’ve been away for a week. She charges a good price for her work. She’ll happily look after my cat, feed her, cuddle her, brush her and play with her and give her her cat meds. It’s nice to have someone who’s available to look after her when I need to. She also happily cleans my house for me as I’m a bit older and can’t deep clean, she cleans my oven and hob before she leaves, vacuums, mops and cleans the bathroom which is very nice to come back to clean and tidy. She’s a nice person and very trustworthy. Hello, I have Madison come and house sit for my cat who has separation anxiety. She’s spent a lot of time with him, getting to know him so he’s comfortable with her. My cat Max knows when I go away, it’s every month for the weekend. With Madison he seems very comfortable which is comforting for me when I go away because I don’t want to stress about him, hoping he is okay. She spends a lot of time with him when she housesits so that he isn’t worried. If he becomes stressed about where I am he’ll meow and meow and run around the house wondering where I am. (This happened previously) it’s very nice to know that my cat is naturally happy around her and able to stay calm when I go away. She feeds him well, plays with him and brushes him daily and will give him cuddles to keep him happy. Glad to have her as my regular housesitter. Steve C 19/6/23

Housesitting reference 3:

Madison house sat and dog sat for me in August 2022 for a month while I was in Bali. She looked after my 2 bulldogs and sent me daily updates and videos of how they were doing. She would play with them, take them on a daily walk, feed them on time and occasionally give them a treat of peanut butter which they love. They seemed very calm and well behaved and was glad to have her looking after them. She left the house very tidy as well. Would happily have her look after them again.
