About Amy
Hey, I'm Amy! I'm 30 years old and live in Taupo. I currently work as Content Creator for the Taupo District Council. I have been around, loved and cared for animals all my life.
Currently, I have two little absolute darling cats, one giant fuzzball who is knocking on 12 in February 2023 and last year I rescued a feral kitten from Wairakei. They are wicked cool cats, even if the little one can be a handful at times!
I am keen to get into house-sitting, specifically for cats because I know how hard it is to book holidays and weekends away when you have animals at home to look after. I also know it makes for a better experience for
our kitty-cats to stay home where they are in a safe and familiar space. I much prefer a cat-sitter myself to sending them to the cattery! But my prime motivation is, I just love cats.
I am confident in giving medications to pets by pill form but have no experience with injections.
I have a lot of experience looking after friends' cats around Taupo over the last year. I have just signed up to Pawshake so, unfortunately, don't have any reviews on here (13 Jan 2023). I have permanent keys on my keyring specifically for these cats.
At the moment I am only available for up to twice a day home check in's :) during those house check in's I will spend quality time with your fur-babies making sure they are happy and healthy, fed and watered (of course),
but I would be also be happy to bring in mail, pop out bins, water plants, pull curtains, open curtains etc. I will also send you photo updates if you would like!!

we found Amy to be very caring with Abby and Archie, making sure that they turned up on her visits and that they had plenty of cuddles. Prior to the visits Amy asked lots of relevant questions and followed through on those instructions. Both of the cats were relaxed and happy on our return. Thanks Amy.
