Ana & Danny

Kia ora! We are Ana and Danny. We have recently lost our 15 year old blind and deaf Cocker Spaniel "Samba" and we are now ready to look after your dog. We really love animals and we will look after him or her as if it was our own.

As experienced pet owners, we know how to look after your fur babies, understand you want them well looked after and give them companionship and care for them while you are away. We enjoy our daily walks, and having loved our dog we will make sure they have any play time and exercise they need. There are beautiful walks around this area. We both work from home (we have our own small graphic design business) so we don't need to be away from home while looking after your dogs. We will follow your instructions in caring for them and we assure you they will be in good hands should you choose to leave them with us.

Our house is in Tapawera, by the main road, so it's really accessible on the way to your holiday. For long bookings we might be able to pick up and/or drop off your dog (we will charge a bit extra to cover petrol and time).

We look forward to meeting your dogs and looking after them. We will keep you updated during the time they are with us so you will have peace of mind whilst away.

Our home: We live in an old style cottage, it has there bedrooms and the guest pets will be allowed to sleep inside in our cozy living room. The kitchen and dining room are connected so your pet will have lots of space to feel comfortable. We don't have children and we would only feel happy to host a maximum of two dogs from the same owner at the same time.

Our garden: Our property is 1000m2, and we have a backyard that is fully fenced (for larger dogs, as smaller ones might fit through gaps).

Walks: We can walk your dog twice a day unless you prefer us not to do so. Half an hour each time.

Us: We work from home so your pet wouldn't be left alone, but if we have to leave the house for any reason we wouldn't leave your pet alone for a maximum of a couple of hours. We have cameras in the living room to watch him/her during that time.

Tapawera: A small village in the Tasman District, 60 km from Nelson and 48 km from Motueka. It is a gateway to the Kahurangi National Park, and part of the Tasman great taste cycle trail. If you are driving from Christchurch to Golden Bay or the Abel Tasman national park you'll probably by driving through its highway, the Motueka Valley Highway. We have lots of lovely walks to the river or a quiet walk along the cycle trail which ends very close to our house.
