Hi everyone!
I'm Rebecca, a 21 year-old vet student in her third year at Massey. While I spend most of my time either studying animals or hanging out with animals, this is somehow still not enough and I need to volunteer to fill even more of my time with animals! I've grown up with pets all my life and growing up I spent time with a range of animals - cats, dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, cows, horses, sheep, alpacas - you name it and I've probably either looked after it or spent time trying to cuddle it! I have so much love to give and I adore meeting pets of all shapes and sizes and being given the opportunity to spend time with them!
While I'm studying, I am living in Palmerston North in a house with 2 cats (a big ginger male named Mouse which you can see in my photos! and a small grey female named Izzy who is a wildcat we have recently rescued from the Massey Campus). Unfortunately due to the set up of the house I am only able to look after your pets in your home, however I often find pets are often more comfortable in their own space and I always do my utmost to ensure your pets have a fun and relaxing time!
I have been house-sitting on and off for 3-4 years and I work at a vet clinic as a part time receptionist/cattery worker so I have plenty of experience looking after an animals daily needs - including animals with special needs and animals on medications. When looking after your pet I am happy to do home stays or check ins and will send you daily updates with photos and videos so you can breathe easy when away from your precious fur baby. As mentioned above, I work at a vet clinic so have constant access to vet advice if needed and am familiar with critical care and after hours services in the Manawatu in case of emergencies.
When looking after dogs, I am happy to do long and short walks, I am fit and healthy so can take extra energetic dogs for extra long walks if required.. I also have my full license and my own car so I am able to take dogs walking at parks, on the beach, on trails etc. depending on where your pups favourite places are! When house sitting, I am happy to run small errands for you if need be, maintain your house, water plants etc. I am also happy to look after large animals (sheep, cattle, horses etc.) with clear instructions. I am quiet, a non-smoker and non-vaper, and spend most of my time while house-sitting studying, reading and writing.
I understand how important pets are to their families so I promise to care for your pet with respect and kindness, as if they were one of my own. If you are looking for a pet/house-sitter please message me and we can talk about what things you are looking for in a pet/house sitter and I will do my best to accommodate your requests.
Looking forward to meeting you and your fur babies, and hoping you're having a wonderful day!
- Rebecca

Rebecca looked after my little Papillon boy Harry for 4 nights. She was amazing with him and I felt 100% confident leaving him in her care. It was Harry’s first time with a sitter and it could not have gone better! She also left the house sparkling clean and tidy. Will definitely be using Rebecca’s services again. What a treasure!
Becky is a great sitter. Nellie always greets her like a long-lost friend. When we get home, Nellie is happy and it's obvious she has been well-looked after. Becky leaves the house clean - you wouldn't know she was there. Definitely recommend.
