Hi there!

I'm Rachel and I am 20 years old and currently am in my 4th year of Vet school at Massey University. I have been an animal lover my whole life and my family has raised 4 guide dog puppies and we now have a 6 year old golden retriever (who is the favourite child of the family).

I am comfortable with animals from dogs and cats to horses, cattle and sheep. While at uni I miss the time I get to spend with animals at home and would love to help you out with anything from dog walks to overnight stays. My family lives in Auckland so this is where I am for the holidays :)

Due to being in a flat in Palmy and in my parents home while in Auckland I would only be able to do overnight care at your home. I also like doing this as it really helps the comfort of your animals while you’re away.

I have experience looking after an animal’s daily needs, am comfortable giving oral medications and can help reinforce basic training you are working on with your dog.

At home visits/overnights: I understand how important our animals are to us so when looking after your animal will provide you with updates and photos to keep you stress free while away. I am also happy to help with anything around the house such as mail collection, rubbish bins and watering plants if required.

Dog walking: I love keeping active and love going on walks. While at uni I miss the company of an animal on my walk so would love to have a furry friend join me! I am happy to cater these walks to your dogs needs whether they require a longer or shorter walk. I am use to handling energetic dogs on walks as we have had a range of dogs over the years from energetic poodles and poodle crosses, to our more chill golden retrievers we have had. I also have a car

so can take your dog to a range of fun places. I would prefer to do walks from later in afternoon, (especially in summer so it’s not too hot for your pup) or mornings on the weekend. More than gappy to do help you out with a one off walk or with regular walks depending on what your requirements are :)
